I'm María Agustina,
founder of Haven Skincare.
Skin has always fascinated me, not just as something to treat, but as something that tells the story of how someone lives andtakes care ofthemselves. That's the ideaHavenis built on: no two treatment plans should look the same, because no two people's skin does either. Before I recommend anything, I want to actually understand what's going on with you. That's how real, lasting results happen.
How it all started
I didn't grow up dreaming of a career in skincare, I grew up wanting to be a doctor. In school, I watched my classmates quietly struggle with acne, and struggle even more with how it made them feel around everyone else. I couldn't do anything about it back then, but I never forgot it.
So after school, I started studying physiotherapy, thinking it was the closest path to medicine and healing. It didn't take long to realize I was solving the wrong problem. I didn't just want people to feel physically fine, I wanted them to feel good in their own skin, literally.
That's when I discovered Dermatocosmiatry (skin therapy), a field I'd genuinely never heard of before, and the oneplaceeverything I cared about finally lined up.
Building my own path
My career has taken me across three countries so far. I trained and completed my internship in Argentina, and was later invited back to teach the next group of students studying the same subject.
In 2023, I moved to Barcelona to workinsidea dermatology clinic, learning directly alongside medicalprofessionals, an experience thatstill shapes how I diagnose and treat skin today.
By 2025, I was ready for something new again, and ended up in Amsterdam, where I now run my own studio at Gallery Salon Studios, fully focused on the skin concerns I care most about: acne, pigmentation, rosacea, and everything in between.
Whatever brings you in, I want you to leave each session understanding your own skin a little better than when you arrived.
Where I trained
My foundation in Dermatocosmiatry comes from Argentina, including hands-on hospital experience during my internship. I built on that with clinical dermatology work in Barcelona, and I continue training within the Dermalogica system here in the Netherlands. Skin science never stands still, and neither do I. I'm always learning something new alongside my clients.
